The tacking stitch is the one I’ve always used when mending or sewing something simple, but since I’m in the process of making a stuffed animal/doll, I wanted to use a stronger stitch, so I learned the backstitch. I really like it so far and hope that it can withstand normal wear and tear for many years to come! The blanket stitch on the other hand looks kind of confusing. Haha! I’ll have to leave that one for another day…
