Hosting WebEx Meetings

Today, I signed up for the 14-day free trial of WebEx so that I can practice hosting a meeting on my own for my internship. I fumbled around with it but didn’t invite anyone to it as I was just practicing my presentation. I’ll definitely have to invite a friend to it to bare through my PowerPoint tomorrow, though.

Anyway, WebEx seems easy. My only qualm with it so far is that it said I didn’t have to pre-load files I was planning on sharing; I could just get them as I needed them, but I found this to be untrue because it took me a while to load my presentation, and it’s not an exceedingly large file by any means.

  1. Greetings,

Outside of Cisco WebEx I mentor a few college students from around the globe. You can join a free, live WebEx session at this link http://bit.ly/3w1BBi.
I am sorry to hear about your speed experience with uploading documents. It could be your internet connection. So I would check that first. It also could be just something going on with your system hardware with anything you are trying to upload to the internet. It would be my pleasure to assist you and show you how to speed up your uploads. Please feel free to contact me at this email address: flegendr@cisco.com
I look forward to virtually interacting and creating success with you.

    Kindest Regards,
    Faith

  2. for Elearning I suggest you try http://www.showdocument.com – its a tool that allows document sharing and web meeting in real-time. all the participants in the session see each others’ drawing, highlights, etc. It is free and requires no installation.
